Rendezvous at the Templar commandery of Arville, starting point of this long mountain bike loop passing through Le Gault-du-Perche and Le Plessis-Dorin. The hike is in the heart of a heritage where the wooded nature of the Couëtron valley is associated with the history and the local secular building
This mountain bike loop takes in the typical sunken lanes lined with hedgerows that wind through the Couëtron valley, as well as a section of the "Chemin de César" (ancient Roman road "Le Mans-Orléans"). Discover the church of Oigny, with its astonishing bell tower, or that of Le Gault-du-Perche, built of "grison" stone and its characteristic clock, and pass through an authentic Percheron hamlet with half-timbered houses. Take a break at the Etang de Boisvinet, a landscaped lake with shady wooded banks, a haven for biodiversity. Finally, take in the panoramic view of the rolling landscape at Montfrat, before returning to the Templar commandery at Arville, built in the 12th century of "sandstone-roussard", a high point in the medieval history of the Percher region.
