Located above the village of Sexey-aux-Forges, the Pâtis lawn is part of a rather forest atmosphere. Overlooking the spectacular meanders of the Moselle, this site is home to a flora and fauna typical of limestone lawns and whose biological interest was highlighted in 1983 thanks to the establishment of a Natural Area of Floristic and Faunistic Interest called "Pelouse des Pâtis". Today, its recognition is also European because this site is registered in the European network Natura 2000 and must be the subject of a document of objectives in the years to come The site is protected by the "Conservatoire des Sites Lorrains"
