Reipertswiller acquired a great reputation in Roman times thanks to its thermal springs. It was in 1876 that Pastor Spach discovered the virtues and benefits of these waters. In 1880, the spring water was marketed in bottles and barrels to be exported to England and the United States. Unfortunately, the First World War put an end to this export. But the village is also famous for its church of Saint Jacques, whose square tower illustrates Romanesque art and where one of the lords of Lichtenberg, Jacques le Barbu, is buried. Not far from there, the milestones mark the paths and delimit the Roman or medieval borders.
