BALADE POUSSETTE A SORÉMONT

Walk with your family on the heights of Ban de Laveline and enjoy an exceptional view in all seasons on the valley and the basin of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges! From the center of Ban de Laveline, take the direction of the school and the medical house (towards the hamlet of Québrux). Continue straight ahead until you reach the old school of Honville, easily identifiable. At the junction of the two roads, take the left one towards Québrux. Then take the hairpin bend on the right and continue on your way (admire the pretty little Sainte-Claire chapel on your right) and continue until you reach the vast parking lot of the Plateau de Sorémont. You are there! The departure of the circuit is indicated at the bottom of the parking lot, follow the indications. On the way, admire the view on the hamlet of Baudifosse and on Ban de Laveline, below. After a few hundred meters, a sign indicates you to take on the right, the path in light slope. Walk until you reach the boviduc (a passage under the path for the cattle). You will then attack a slight climb that leads you to the bench, ideally placed to admire the view and have a well-deserved snack. After the break, take the path back to the parking lot, which will take you through the beautiful conservatory orchard. Don't forget to say hello to the hairy inhabitants of these places: the Highlands-Cattle which are cattle originating from Scotland, very rustic and resistant to the cold, often "used" in the mountains for the cleaning and the maintenance of the difficult access grounds. To continue the walk, below the plateau, go through the magnificent arboretum and take the time to contemplate its exceptional species, carefully maintained. Open your eyes and be discreet, you are entering the squirrels' pantry...!
