EXPOSITION PEINTURE - RUINES MODERNES

Under the title "Modern Ruins", his paintings evoke some "flying machines, dynamic objects, which do not fly any more, discovered in the bend of a walk. They are swallowed up by the vegetation. They will soon be digested". Compared to ancient monuments, the abandoned aircraft paddles are sublimated and embodied under the eye of the artist from Rouen. The majority of the compositions in this exhibition are based on photographic images assembled and staged to illustrate the discourse. This exhibition finds all its legitimacy in this place dedicated to the preservation of flying heritage. Many of the aircraft in the museum were found in a very degraded state, as presented in the paintings, before being restored to flying condition or displayed in static displays. ?
