La Route des Chalots

Tourist itinerary of 120 km, marked out with patrimonial sites to discover, located on 7 communes, between the Haute-Saône : Aillevillers and lyaumont, Fougerolles, Raddon and Chapendu, Saint Bresson ; and the Vosges : Le Girmont Val d'Ajol, Plombières-les-bains, Val d'Ajol : -Hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails to discover magnificent landscapes. -Dozens of circuits dedicated to bikes and mountain bikes. -Cross-country ski trails in a preserved nature. -Horseback riding in sumptuous scenery. A territory marked by a particular construction: the chalot. The chalot is an outbuilding of the farm built entirely of wood, typical of the Southern Vosges, used in the past as a grain store, an annex, and sometimes even as a safe to protect precious goods or family treasures. Between Lorraine and Franche-Comté, there are no less than 320 chalots spread over the 7 communes. A rich and diversified heritage: history, nature and preserved landscapes, know-how, architecture, rural heritage... Various activities in agriculture, crafts, industry, trade, accommodation and catering, thermalism... The members are waiting for you all along the "route des chalots" and receive you with local products and animations.
