Le Sentier des Cairns

Path of the cairns at Chaux-du-Dombief: A footpath through the Jura pastoral landscape with superb viewpoints along the way, the path is entirely marked out by more than 100 cairns built along the trail. It follows ancient passages of the cattle that used to graze the few small spaces among the rocky landscape that borders La Chaux upstream from the village. A first place allows a moment of relaxation under a "task" of "foyards", the path then leads to a first belvedere decorated with a bench for rest and contemplation, then a second, more widely open on an exceptional panorama (with a small platform and a solid wood bench).
