The purpose of the open-air museum is to preserve rural buildings and farms destined for demolition. The buildings are therefore dismantled and rebuilt on the site, which covers some 15 hectares. And it's in a bucolic setting of gardens, orchards, vegetable plots and animal-populated pastures that visitors can discover 25 preserved buildings. To bring the museum to life, events are organized throughout the week. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there are parent-child workshops on a variety of themes, such as animal discovery, artistic creation with recycled materials and plant-based paints. Sundays also feature concerts and tastings of regional products.
