Four companies of the 1st Battalion of the SS Regiment der Führer, belonging to the 2nd SS Division Das Reich, which had left Agen the day before, cordoned off the village of Frayssinet-le-Gélat in the early evening of 21 May 1944. Following a shot fired from one of the houses, 15 inhabitants were killed. This exhibition retraces these events which took place in Frayssinet-le-Gélat, in parallel with the commemorations of May 21, 1944.
