The Société des Historiens du Pays de Retz is offering children aged 7 to 14 the chance to solve a historical investigation in Saint-Brevin, quartier de l?Océan. Through a treasure hunt in the town, children will discover the history of Saint-Brevin and solve a riddle set in the heart of the Second World War, between the Resistance and the Occupation? The year is 1943, under German occupation... Saint-Brevin-les-Pins is an important coastal defense site for the Nazis. Erwin Rommel, the head of the German Atlantic fortifications project, came to Saint-Brevin to check on the progress of the work. The Brevin resistance organized to scupper the visit. Unfortunately, a message from the resistance was scattered around the town! Practical information The complete route takes 1h30 to 2h00. It can be completed between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm (last departure at 4:30 pm). An on-site departure takes place every 15 minutes between 2pm and 4:30pm, with 2 groups departing simultaneously. Each group must be accompanied by an adult responsible for minors. A group is made up of a maximum of 8 people, with a minimum of 2 people (one child and one accompanying adult). Tip: bring a cell phone so you can get advice if you get stuck at a stage.
