Immersed in the nature, on the heights of Champtoceaux, the castle of La Colinière dominates the Loire with its 70m above the river. Once a hunting lodge built by the Princes of Condé in the 17th century, the castle stands in the heart of an ancient medieval city, Châteauceaux, where princes, dukes and kings fought for this stronghold on the banks of the Loire between Angers and Nantes. Since the destruction of the citadel in 1420, the ruins have made way for the citadel and the park of the castle has become the sanctuary of an abundant fauna and flora (more than 517 species listed) that Christine and Hervé will gladly tell you about during your stay. In the castle, 2 rooms are proposed : - one overlooking the green park, the VALLOTTON room - one overlooking the majestic Loire River, the TURNER room Each of the 2 rooms have twin beds and a private bathroom and toilet The hosts are passionate about art, history and wildlife and share with you this discreet nugget on the heights of Champtoceaux. The light on the park and the Loire River offer majestic shows every day at sunrise and sunset.
