Welcome to Saint Aubin du Désert, a small, welcoming village close to the Alpes Mancelles and a true hiker's paradise. The commune has renovated the old school to create 2 independent gîtes. Les petits Blés d'or, on the first floor with a bedroom, can accommodate up to 2 people. The circulation in the gîte, the bedroom and the bathroom are suitable for people with reduced mobility. You'll appreciate its facilities (fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge, freezer, small electrical appliances, washing machine, 2 comfortable twin beds, Italian shower...), warm decor and access to hiking trails. Local shops are 4.7km away in Courcité, and even closer in Villaines la Juhel, 9km away. Discover the Alpes Mancelles (15km), climb the Mont des Avaloirs lookout, the highest point of the Armorican massif, on foot, by bike or on horseback. The paths are well-marked, the countryside is unspoilt and you'll discover many beautiful viewpoints. You can also visit Saint-Cénéri le Gerei, classified as one of France's most beautiful villages, Fresnay sur Sarthe, Petite cité de caractère, or Saint Léonard des Bois, which also offers a wide range of sporting activities: canoeing, tree climbing, mountain bike trails...
