The Communauté de communes Anjou Loir et Sarthe (CCALS) has 2 river stops on the Sarthe: at Cheffes and Morannes.
In June 2020, the CCALS will install 12 new pontoons at a second river stop in Morannes-Sur-Sarthe-Daumeray. These pontoons are rented on a year-round basis, and one pontoon allows passing boats to dock during a stopover. A waiting list had to be created. Extension of the rest area : The community?s elected representatives decided to continue developing river tourism on the Sarthe by voting to create a second phase of pontoons at Morannes sur Sarthe. Since summer 2022, 12 boats have been able to dock on these new pontoons, which are equipped with water and electricity. The pontoons are allocated by signing an Autorisation d?Occupation Temporaire (AOT). A stopover pontoon is also available for boaters wishing to park for a few days to discover Morannes and the surrounding area (free use limited to 72 h) Prices for berths can be downloaded below.
