MUSEE DE LA VIE RURALE

In an old bread oven in the village of Alteyrac, there is a permanent exhibition recounting rural life in the past. Daily life of all ages and all trades is represented through more than 300 photos and objects gathered by the association Le Bouffadou.

In the heart of the village of Alteyrac is an old bread oven converted into a museum retracing the rural life of the past. Thanks to the action of the association Le Bouffadou, there are more than 300 items on display in this small space, including black and white photos, objects that echo each area of daily life: the house, the school, religion, the farm, the crafts, the farm machinery..
