Along the river Luech, the ruins of a factory buried under ivy offer an astonishing sight... Here, in the 19th century, galena, a silver-lead ore, was processed using noisy machines. Extracted from nearby galleries, the ore was sorted and processed on site. Vialas accounted for a quarter of national silver production in 1847, and production continued to grow until 1862, when it reached 1930 kg of refined silver. Closed in 1894, the factory is now being rediscovered, but still retains a touch of mystery. For your own safety and the preservation of the site, it is imperative that you stay on the marked path. It is strictly forbidden to remove stones or other objects from this site, which is protected as a historic monument. Signposting: Interpretation trail
