It's a monastic church, built by the monks from Aniane. If the vault has been redone and the walls rebuilt, the chevet and chapel have escaped the devastation of the wars of religion and date back to the 12th century. This church is rather surprising, by the columns, three on one side and three on the other, which separate the nave from the side aisles; built in rough stone, now exposed, these bitter columns without base nor crown make the sharpest contrast with the slender columns of the seven arcades of the apse.
