Eglise Saint-Géry de Flesquières

It is one of the reconstruction churches designed by architect Leprince Ringuet.

It is one of the marvels of the Marcoing township reconstruction. The specifications and plans were proposed by M. Portier and M. Leprince-Ringuet, mature architects, on June 16, 1922. It was built between 1923 and 1928, and blessed on March 28, 1926. The intensity of the fighting during the Battle of Cambrai and the sheer number of saps made the foundations particularly complex. Among the church's highlights are a high altar by Goblet, a Cambrai marble-maker, an Arts Deco filigree cross by Leprince-Ringuet, bronze statues of the Sacré-Coeur and Saint-Géry, mosaics by Cristofoli of Cambrai, and an organ by the Coupleux brothers (1927).
