With headphones on to hear the instructions clearly, let the dancers guide you. David Rolland and Elise Lerat invite you to follow them on a dance journey that sets in motion their reflections on discrimination and fear of the other. Kids and adults alike, put on your headphones and get dancing! Donne-moi la main (Happy Manif) is a participatory show in which children are guided by a soundtrack played through headphones. Elise Lerat and David Rolland explore the relationships at play within the school community during recess, inviting pupils to become aware of the relationships they create with each other. Why do some children monopolize the center of the playground, while others are pushed to the periphery? How are groups formed? What about boy/girl relationships? Are stereotypes, prejudices and power relationships at work? What emotions are experienced during this time of life? In this piece, the choreographers will try to answer these questions by getting children to dance, and to play characters: an artist, a landscaper, even a superhero to fantasize the ideal schoolyard and thwart power grabs. They may even sing Sheila's song L'école est finie, to which the show's title refers. Ages 8 and up - Running time: 50 minutes - Price: 12? - 10? - 6?
