Théâtre : "Le champ de bataille"

Date:

By Jérôme Colin The trouble with children is that they grow up. One fine morning, without warning, they put on trainers, respond with onomatopoeia and listen to bad music. They drag themselves from the couch to bed, making a point of reminding you that you're not fit to be a father. To top it all off, once you're over 50 cm tall, they stop thinking of you as God himself. And you have to take it! From now on, you're nothing but a stranger programmed to ruin their lives and prevent them from living. A father in his forties, locked away in the bathroom, the ultimate inviolable fortress, consulting travel brochures as a way of escaping the heaviness of everyday life, with his eldest son in the throes of adolescence on one side, and his couple in crisis on the other. "Go and see "Le Champ de bataille"! When you leave, you'll realize that family love really is powerful (...) A funny, fair and tear-jerking play." - L'Echo
