Représentation de "Répétitions" de Jules Metge à Salviac

Date:

As part of the "Nuits de la lecture" (Reading Nights) program, the Salviac intercommunal multimedia library is going dark. For the occasion, attend a "Fake rehearsal or real show?" An illusionist invites you to attend the rehearsal of an unfinished show, still being created. He keeps his script close at hand, crosses out and rewrites his lines according to your reactions, tries out and improvises card tricks for which he doesn't know the end. The illusionist is obsessed with the famous "Tour de la Carte Perdue et Retrouvée", and wants to find the best version of it, the one that will be the highlight of his show. One effect follows another, and you're left with a doubt: is the illusionist playing us? Maybe it's all scripted and he already knows the ending? In magic, there's one rule you have to respect - never repeat a trick. The title sets the tone for this joyous show, which breaks the rules of the art while flirting with the absurd. In "Répétitions", the trick can and must be repeated! Here, you can look at your text! And the text can be performed by anyone in the audience! Behind the elaborate clumsiness, there are tricks that are less childish than they seem. And what if this rehearsal around the "Carte Retrouvée" was just a pretext for talking about chaos, loss and our need for the sacred?

Exceptional opening of the library until 11pm (book loan/return, readings and entertainment) Ages 10 and up. Duration: 25 minutes. Free admission. Reservations required.
