La chênaie du Lac is a small, atypical complex of 3 gîtes in the foothills of the Montagne Noire, with the Lac de Saint Ferréol just 100 m away (a 5-minute walk). Its nautical center offers a wide range of water sports (non-motorized). Restaurants, ice-cream parlors and bars are just a 5-minute walk away, but we enjoy the benefits without the nuisance! Our 1.5-hectare landscaped park, mainly planted with oak trees, is part of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc. We have a breathtaking view of the Montagne Noire and the plain from Sorèze to Mazamet (visibility over 20 km).
Our large swimming pool (15x5m) is heated and covered (but can be uncovered) and has a large solarium. We've built a REAL pétanque court, half-shade, half-sun, flanked by a picnic table where you can sip your favorite drink. Hammocks are set up in the oak grove, depending on the weather (but it's ... almost ... always sunny at Saint Fé!). Below the breathtaking view from the terrace are five fig trees, the gîte's namesake. In the distance, the Montagne Noire rises proudly. Figuier is open to nature. Its "decor" theme is turquoise: we lived in Bora Bora for 5 years and this lagoon color is very close to our hearts. Lac de Saint-Ferréol, a little less exotic but very pleasant all in all, is just 100 m from the gîte. This accommodation is ideal for two couples or a couple with children/teens, as is Chêne.
