Toutes causes confondues

Marie-Claire, 16, has an abortion with the help of her mother. The story may seem anecdotal, but it was 1972 and abortion was prohibited and punishable by imprisonment. The ensuing trial became a social phenomenon, thanks to the fighting spirit of lawyer Gisèle Halimi, and will go down in history as the "Bobigny trial". On stage, two young girls observe the re-enactment of the trial, reacting with the ardor of their age. On the one hand, a historical archive in the feminist struggle, and on the other, those who will shape tomorrow?s world. Two generations in dialogue, 50 years apart. Somewhere between documentary theater and poetic flights of fancy, "Toutes causes confondues" builds a bridge across time to address young people and pay tribute to those who paved the way for them.
