Musical: IN YOUR DREAMS // THE BIG SURFACE
An atypical and ?local? musical comedy danced, acted and sung by local residents, accompanied by professional artists. Dans tes rêves?! revisits the musical comedy, notably by drawing freely on the plot of Stephen Daldry?s film Billy Elliot: the story of a young boy with a passion for dance and his path to emancipation in the face of prejudice. As with their previous productions, Cendrillon and Belleville-les-Bains, the Laval collective involved the residents of the greater Saint-Nicolas area in a number of workshops over a long period of time. Of all ages and from all walks of life, they worked with the artists on a joint creation combining dance, theater, puppetry, music and song. A wonderful artistic and civic project, inter-generational and trans-disciplinary, that enriches amateurs and professionals alike, and promises a stimulating and exciting return to the Theatre.
