Reigns photographers exhibit, from October 12 to November 17, 2024
To mark the centenary of Festiv'Arles, a collection of photos of all the reigns of Arles will be assembled in the Chapelle de la Charité in Arles in the autumn of 2024. They have accompanied the festivities and cultural events of the city and its region since 1930, the year the first Queen of Arles was elected. 93 years of reigns inhabited and enlivened by 24 queens and their 124 maids of honor. 24 easels, arranged in the chapel, will evoke each reign. On each easel, 3 to 5 of the most representative photos of a Queen and her Demoiselles d'Honneur will be displayed. A caption will indicate the era and constitution of the reign. As you stroll among them, these easels will invite you to take a stroll back in time. Revealed in these meticulously selected photos, the faces and costumes of each of them will still be very much in evidence, testifying to their great history.
