Mixed media - Acrylics and pastels on paper Monique Cellière is a painter. Her pictorial work questions the world, nature, life, time... and more recently, the landscapes that inspire her.
The series presented at Château des Baumes is built around water and the landscape that surrounds it: rocks, creeks, beaches, materials, transparencies, colors, lights and the lives that accompany them. Istres, a city of water with its pond and fountains, and close to the sea, is once again a point of entry for the artist on this theme. Paintings and drawings will be accompanied by the sketches and drafts that were the beginnings of her research. Opening Thursday, October 3, 6:30 p.m. Please note - Guided tour of the exhibition with the artist, Saturday October 12, 2pm (free of charge, by prior arrangement with the Visual Arts Department).
