There are many ways to get to Gien's Church and Château-Musée, but the most emblematic is undoubtedly the tourist staircase!
First of all, it's worth noting that this staircase or tourist path has only existed since the town was rebuilt after 1940. Previously, a "two-storey well" stood at the end of a courtyard. The remains and carved stones you can see are from the destroyed houses. Gien has long been a fortified town, as can be seen from the ramparts visible all along the staircase.
