Discover the world of mining, thermal baths and the contemporary work of art "La Triangulaire de Cransac".
Meet at the Office de Tourisme, Cransac-Les-Thermes office at 3.30pm. The Museum's interpreter will take you on a tour of Cransac's past, following three key periods in the village's history. Around the model of Cransac in 1850, listen as she tells you about the daily life of 19th-century spa-goers, who used the promenade to get to the mineral springs, or took the steam baths in wooden cabins that could be moved around. Continue the guided tour with a presentation of the mine in 1900, the transformation of the village, and immerse yourself in the world of mining around the model of the pit in 1950. The animator will bring to life the hard work of the miners thanks to the reconstructed mining buildings, and you can let your imagination run free: the miners entering the mine shaft to reach a depth of 342 meters, and busying themselves with their tasks at the bottom: lining the galleries, cutting coal, rolling? Little trains in motion bring the model to life; all you need to do is imagine the smoke and noise of the locomotives... Finally, discover the archives of artist Joëlle Tuerlinckx to understand all the details of the work 'La Triangulaire de Cransac'. Price: 3.50? Registration until the day before. Reservations required. Minimum 6 people. Office de Tourisme et du Thermalisme 05 65 63 06 80
