The Aulas gîte is in Lozère on the Causse de Sauveterre, 3.5 km from the A75 (exit 41). It lies on the edge of the village of La Tieule, quiet and easy to reach. Close to the owners' Caussenarde farmhouse, a typical farm dating from 1789 and preserved in its original style, the Aulas gîte is an old barn renovated using noble, natural materials: stone, wood, lime and hemp, wood wool? Perfectly insulated, it's warm in summer (no air-conditioning) and mild in winter (underfloor heating with wood chips). An archway separates the kitchen from the living room, the windows let in plenty of light, and the furniture is functional and pleasing to the eye. Spacious and on one level, it is suitable for people with reduced mobility thanks to its access ramp, easy circulation in the large rooms, and wide, high doors. Comfortable, high-quality bedding includes a 160 x 200 double bed and two 90cm beds on the low-ceilinged mezzanine floor.
