Brigitte Beaury has lived in Saint-Julien-du-Tournel since 1975. For a long time a teacher specializing in the teaching methods of Maria Montessori, she devoted several years of her life to children in difficulty. In the 2000s, she realized that what made her tick was reading, telling and passing on stories. She undertook specialized training in reading aloud. She took part in the "Terre de Lecteurs" movement, set up by youth and sport advisors to promote reading in rural areas. In 2003, she founded her association "Les MotsDits" in response to this desire. Since then, she has been criss-crossing the département, passing on stories in day nurseries, leisure centers, retirement homes, etc... The stories are read with the support of an album, alternating with nursery rhymes, songs and formulas... The main aim is to give children the pleasure of discovering illustrations, colors and stories, and to give them a gentle introduction to poetic and literary language. The aim is to help them imagine the world, build themselves up, and gradually put words to their emotions, fears and anxieties.
