A creative medium in its own right for several generations now, glass has been used in all possible forms and fields since antiquity, and is at the heart of a vibrant ecosystem. A place of cross-fertilization and collaboration, the world of glass is marked by strong poetics and aesthetics, and assertive approaches, uniting a multiplicity of committed players and venues. Designers experiment, explore, play with limits, cross techniques and symbolize. They draw inspiration from art history to express their vision of the world. They take detours or new paths, create powerful universes, fabricate signs and sensations, produce images and "percepts". They question, surprise and astonish us. It is this protean energy that this new exhibition aims to highlight and support: without being exhaustive, in all modesty.
