Concert Dalida, La Tzigane par Barbara Pravi et Aälma Dili - Rodrigo Cuevas

The Soirée Suds kicks off with Barbara Pravi, the rising star of "pop à textes". This young admirer of the great French chanson performs Dalida?s songs? in gypsy version! Grown up between books, art and music, singer-songwriter, dancer and actress, she is also a woman committed to the fight against violence against women. Grand Prix Sacem for Voilà, a song she took to Eurovision in 2021, "Revelation" at the Victoires de la Musique awards in 2022, welcomed with several projects to Arles, it is with overwhelming sincerity that she embodies "her" Dalida, taking her to the East, where her own Iranian and Serbian roots grew. Surrounded by the Balkan quartet Aälma Dili - whose violin, guitar, mandolin and cello follow in the footsteps of Bratsch and Soviet Suprem - she revisits this heritage repertoire with ardor and delicacy. Some might see her as the new Dalida Pravi? but the bird with the sparkling eyes, powerful voice and great vocal range won't let herself be pigeonholed, and above all, promises to fly high! And that's not all! The evening continues with Spanish artist Rodrigo Cuevas. Because "the real revolution is made by dancing and having fun", the latest album from this total artist (who played to a full house at Suds in 2022) offers a festive manual of lyricism as torrid as it is profound. Set to folk music and songs or original compositions arranged in close collaboration with Puerto Rican Eduardo Cabra (ex Calle 13), it propels tradition into the electro age. Awarded the Spanish Ministry of Culture?s Contemporary Music Prize in 2023, this singer-musician-dancer-performer displays the full range of his charms on stage... Beyond his diva looks, this hedonist with an incandescent and impertinent mysticism is above all the guardian of the essence of the party, rooted in every popular tradition. With a repertoire drawn from the heart of Asturias and the León region, he invites us to enter into the spirit of the "verbenas", those village festivals whose libations distill messages of love, tolerance and openness!
