La Meuse à Vélo / EuroVelo 19 is an international route of over 1,000 km that runs along the Meuse from the Langres plateau, where the river rises at Pouilly-en-Bassigny, to the North Sea. On this itinerary, which takes in greenways and country roads with little traffic, cycle tourists cross part of the western Vosges and Meuse regions. Stage highlights: start by discovering Neufchâteau, Site Patrimonial Remarquable and one of the 100 Plus Beaux Détours de France, before heading to the places where Joan of Arc visited. First, discover the village of Domremy-la-Pucelle, with its birthplace and the Basilica of Sainte-Jeanne d'Arc overlooking the Meuse valley. Then follow the roads and paths that the Lorraine shepherdess took before arriving in Vaucouleurs. You'll discover the Porte de France, the chapelle castrale and the only museum in France dedicated to Joan of Arc.
