VIEILLE VILLE DE GONDREVILLE

Gondreville, a medieval Lorraine village whose historical origins date back to Gallo-Roman times, is located on the right bank of the Moselle between Toul and Liverdun. Once the residence of the first Frankish kings, it became a stronghold of the Dukes of Lorraine in the 12th century, and remained so until 1766, when the duchy was annexed to France. As you stroll through the village center, you'll discover reminders of a historic past that, over time, has left its mark on the architecture of the houses and the way of life of the inhabitants. Its narrow streets and alleyways, its Porte d'En-Haut, the remains of its ramparts, its former courthouse and a number of old houses have all preserved its authentic charm.
