"Somewhere between figuration and lyrical abstraction, I use my pictorial language to translate the sensations and emotions I feel in front of life and the beauty of nature. My source of inspiration: the seaside landscape, the meeting of land, sea and sky in perpetual dynamics, the energy and force of the wind, the changing light.... "La part du rêve" follows on from my previous exhibitions: "Rivages", "Horizons", "Réalité magique", "La nature corps et âme". The journey continues! Georgeta Cordier, painter and sculptor, stands out for the artistic identity of her creations, served by a long journey that took her from her native Romania to New York, where she was finally able to realize herself as a filmmaker, before moving to France in 1989, where she forged an undeniable pictorial personality. Oil painting on canvas, on motif or in the studio, nude sketches in colored ink with live models, travel journals and nude sculptures in terracotta are her means of expression. Her nudes and landscapes, captured in full bloom, are overwhelmingly alive, thanks to the conquest of nature by an enterprising artist, observant of the magic of the elements rendered in broad streams of color. Georgetta Cordier transforms these masses and lights into seductive, limpid and expressive outbursts with real mastery, and if her gesture becomes exalted, it is always with the conviction of bringing out even more vitality and harmony. Their sinuous, generous curves, powerful modelling and transparent nuances follow the rhythm and passion of this artist.
