Mathurin Bonnecamp (1590 - 1637) is the author of the painting that adorns the high altar of the village church. In April 2023, Karen Vignoles, from the association Histoire et Patrimoine, explained the interest of this painting and the circumstances in which she discovered the name of its author, previously unknown. This second lecture will provide an insight into the main stages in Mathurin Bonnecamp?s life, his professional career and the dozen or so works known about him, including the Resurrection of Christ in the church of Saint-Christophe-sur-le-Nais. Lecture presented by Father Roger Blot, Bonnecamp specialist, in charge of religious heritage for the diocese of Rennes.
