This work brings to a close the Terre et Territoires residency cycle, which has been supported by two structures in the Centre-Val de Loire region, Zone i and Valimage, for four consecutive years.
Gast A novel by Julien Coquentin in Thoré-la-Rochette. The photographer writes with light, they say. Except that in this case, we've turned off the light so that all that's left is the imagination. And writing. Julien Coquentin, a photographer experienced in observing territories, took up the challenge. Not to photograph, but to write. Given carte blanche, he chose the form of a novel. Julien?s story has a whodunit quality, a preoccupation with history, tragedy, unsolved enigmas, tenderness and the passage of time. It's here at the Moulin de la Fontaine in Zone i, in the heart of the Loir valley, that a little girl grows up and travels through time, from the 1940s to the present day.
