Discover the small village of Douadic with its frescoes and its illustrious residents, with Christine Méry-Barnabé.
Do you know Douadic? This small village in the Brenne region is a little off the beaten tourist track, but its heritage is well worth a visit. Its church, with its beautiful 13th and 14th century frescoes, deserves our full attention. But Douadic also has two illustrious residents buried in its cemetery. We'll be remembering Abbé Voisin (1829-1891), historian and brilliant archaeologist, and Evariste Vital Luminais (1812-1891), painter of Gallic and Merovingian epics, whose paintings hang on the walls of major French museums and as far away as Sydney.
