A beach well known to regulars La Sennetière beach in La Bernerie-en-Retz is just below the Port Royal esplanade. The famous "chemin des douaniers" runs the length of the beach, and is easily reached by car via rue des Quatre jumelles, a pretty one-way street where the beach has been designed
