Created in 2014, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death of Anne of Brittany, this garden presents, in an educational way, the plants cultivated in the Middle Ages.
Discover, gathered here, some of the forgotten species, once present on the tables and in the decoctions of the people and dukes of the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance. With the help of Yves-Marie Allain, a horticultural engineer and former director of the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, and Alain Poulard, from the French Wine Institute in Vertou, this group of enthusiasts can now be proud to offer visitors a garden that combines aesthetics with historical knowledge.
