CIRCUIT LES TREANS

Walk along the seafront towards Les Moutiers-en-Retz, along the Promenade Sainte-Anne, and you'll arrive at Port Royal. Port Royal is well known to residents of the Sennetière district. This is where they come to stroll and admire the Baie de Bourgneuf. The view is exceptional! You can admire the wind turbines at Bouin, the bridge between the mainland and Noirmoutier, and the entire coastline as far as Pornic. Two cannons mark the entrance to the esplanade overlooking the beach. These are two cannons from the "Juste", sunk off Saint Nazaire in 1759. As you head back towards the countryside, you'll pass the Moulin des Tréans, built in the 13th century. You can download the walking maps below, or visit our Tourist Offices.
