ROUTE DES VINS "VOYAGE DANS LE VIGNOBLE" DE NANTES A CLISSON

On the Routes des Vins, take the Voyage dans le Vignoble, initiated by the Voyage à Nantes. This 118km wine tour by car invites you to discover a variety of vineyard landscapes, natural sites and breathtaking heritage sites. Venture into the vineyards of Nantes, home of exceptional wines such as the famous Muscadet, made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety, will delight your taste buds. Starting from Nantes, this loop offers several stops to visit the must-see sites of the Nantes vineyard. For a day or two, admire the bucolic landscapes, between the banks of the Sèvre Nantaise and vineyards. In the summer, many gustative and cultural animations are proposed all along the route. In Vertou, the Chaussée des Moines invites you to take a stroll along the Sèvre Nantaise. A few kilometers further, in Château-Thébaud, discover the belvedere: the Porte-Vue, a real work of art signed by Emmanuel Ritz, which offers a breathtaking and panoramic view of the cliffs and the Pont Caffino leisure center, along the river. Feeling hungry? On the itinerary, further south, the playground and picnic area of the pretty little port of La Haye-Fouassière offers an ideal stop on the river bank. In summer, "Un dimanche au port" offers tastings of Muscadet and local specialties. Your mouth is watering! Take the time to visit the Nantes Vineyard Museum in Le Pallet and the Liveau Mill in Gorges, which has been rehabilitated as a paper mill and whose paddle wheel bears witness to the rich industrial past of the Sèvre nantaise. Admire the seductive Clisson "l'Italienne", a beautiful medieval city coiled around the remains of the castle, a change of scenery guaranteed! You will also be able to visit the site of Hellfest, a festival not to be missed by all metal music lovers! From Clisson, go to the Domaine de la Garenne-Lemot in Gétigné, a landscaped park created by a sculptor whose gardener's house, a witness to Italian architecture, houses a superb exhibition. All along the route you can visit emblematic heritage sites and taste Muscadet and grape juice in the tourist cellars located along the route. On the way back to Nantes, it is from the top of the Butte de la Roche, in Loroux-Bottereau, that you will be able to admire a magnificent sunset over the vineyards, the Marais de Goulaine and the Château de Goulaine. This ancient fortress, the first castle of the Loire, is worth a visit.
