PARCOURS DÉCOUVERTE SUR LE CHEMIN DES ARDOISIÈRES

France > Pays de la Loire > Maine-et-Loire > 49500 > Segré-en-Anjou Bleu

In the heart of the Misengrain valley in blue Anjou, straddling the communes of Noyant-La-Gravoyère and Nyoiseau, this trail guides you between industrial and natural heritage.

Your stroll starts at the edge of the pond of Saint-Blaise to continue under the chestnut trees, along the Misengrain stream. Historically developed by Man, notably for the extraction of slate and iron, you will discover a hilly landscape, punctuated by ponds. As you approach these wetlands, listen to the frogs singing and try to observe them. Going up the hillside, you can discover species adapted to acidic and rocky terrain, such as the "Venus navel", a small, fat plant that likes damp, shady walls. Perhaps you, like the lizards, will want to take advantage of the warmth of the sun by stopping for a few moments in these open spaces. The last stage of your walk, the crossing of the dyke of the pond of Saint-Blaise offers you a 360° panorama on the landscapes of the Misengrain valley.
