LA CORNICHE ANGEVINE

France > Pays de la Loire > Maine-et-Loire > 49190 > Rochefort-sur-Loire > D751

Between the Loire and Layon, the Corniche Angevine is an emblematic site of 2500 hectares.

Rising to a hundred metres, it is the result of a fault caused by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. It offers you a breathtaking panorama over the entire Loire and Louet valleys. It is thus between Rochefort and Chalonnes, at the Haie-Longue, that you should stop and enjoy a view of the Loire Valley, with an orientation table and a view of the vineyards of the Anjou region. The jewel of the Corniche is the Chapelle Sainte Barbe des Mines situated on the roadside. Discover also the headframe of the Malecots along the Corniche.
