150 posters and trinkets tell the story of 100 years of advertising from the end of the 19th century to the 1960s. The museum traces the history of hygiene and the status of women during a century rich in progress.
Installed since 2010 in the tithe barn of the Domaine de Mestré (12th century), the museum hosts a unique collection in Europe of unusual objects (soap dishes, vintage shaving sets, bathtub ...) and original posters around the theme of soap since 1860. Humor, elegance, history and poetry are mixed in these advertisements of yesteryear... A fascinating retrospective to discover with the whole family!
