The ruins are strong in experience, illustrating the past of the place. The stones do not lie, they have seen and experienced everything, they speak without words. The castle is located on the path of Urban V.
The curious conical limestone peak of the truc de Grèzes has successively carried on its platform a Gallic oppidum, a Roman castrum and a feudal fortress dismantled in 1632 These architectural remains are found on the top and bottom of the truc de Grèzes. We can date the ruins of the top of the High Middle Ages, they translate us an impressive solidity. One will notice details which reveal us the remainders of a tower or a keep provided with pink stones. The lower part of the castle is in better condition It should be noted that this building has been modified through time, eras and owners. The historical remains have seen the centuries pass, conflicts erupt such as the Hundred Years War, and have disappeared over time. There are still some traces of the location of a room and a well that has been paved over for safety.
