Frans Gregoor

France > Centre-Val de Loire > Cher > 18250 > Henrichemont > La Borne

Frans Gregoor had a life as an earthenware and stoneware potter in Belgium, then traveling through Europe. Back in Belgium, he transforms 7 to 12 tons of stoneware per year, for orders of thousands of objects.

In 2004, he became a part-time teacher and began to explore porcelain for which he invented shaping techniques to achieve extreme finesse, even for textures in relief. Frans creates light fixtures and sculptures, playing with translucency and light, with folds and creases. He also creates white objects punctuated with light repetitive or random decorations, yellow and blue, colored engraved compositions, regular perforations. He uses gas and wood kilns.
