Attracted by the materials of wood-fired stoneware, I. Coeur learned ceramics from D. Garet in 1990. However, she directs her creation towards the sculpture of female bodies, gyronds that she models spontaneously in self-taught.
She dares the large dimensions, the nudity without modesty, the hips with the fine waist but with the prominent buttocks like the prehistoric mother-goddesses. Isabelle celebrates the loving body and its sensual curves. She also creates small-scale reliefs, silhouettes of men or women with callipeds, from the back or the front, sitting on the edge of a frame - an open window between two spaces. She has long fired in an anagama kiln with D. Whitehead, and continues to fire with wood.
