Stop in this pretty little village full of charm. Discover its Romanesque church and its wash-house. Lose yourself in its authentic alleyways. Enjoy the enchanting calm of Boësses.

An old small wine-growing village set on a slight hill, once surrounded by walls (of which the Rue des Fossés, which surrounds the village, has retained its layout), Boësses, whose name means "place planted with boxwood", has treasures, some visible and others hidden, which invite discovery. The jewel of its heritage is the church of Saint-Germain, whose facade, in a green setting, is preceded by the most beautiful Romanesque porch in the region: built at the end of the 12th century, it is in the form of a gallery pierced with arcades with columns and sculpted capitals. The square bell tower is surmounted by a spire which has slightly twisted from left to right during restoration work on its roof: this particularity makes it belong to the Asso. des clochers tors d'Europe.
