Discovery of the city and its surroundings through a poetic walk. The poets' trail, with 27 panels featuring poems in their original versions written in the authors' own dialect, with their French translations, allows you to discover the city in a different way, taking a poetic look at themes as varied as heritage, nature, hope, memory, etc.
Promoting our regional language, our literature and our environment are the objectives of the city of Bischwiller through this path of poets called the "Dìchterwaj" in Alsatian. The path, punctuated by 28 panels on which are poems in their original versions written in the dialect of their authors, with their translations into French, allows to discover the city in a different way, by posing a poetic glance on themes as varied as the inheritance, nature, hope, memory, etc. The route is 9 km long and can be divided into three different circuits. It starts at the Place de la Mairie and will take you through the historic heart of the city, its natural spaces such as the green belt and the Ried for a moment of relaxation and pleasure renewed every season. An extension of the poets' path in Bischwiller was inaugurated in September 2022. It brings a new stone to the influence of the city while making discover some aspects of the Sonnenhof as the Stolpersteine or the museum.
