Fête des fifres

Date:

The "Pfifferdaj" (Fife Festival in Alsatian), whose origins date back to the 17th century, brings together many artists, companies of musicians and craftsmen from August 5 to 7, 2022 in Bischwiller.

In Bischwiller, the Fête des Fifres, or "Pfifferdaj" in Alsatian, a centuries-old popular festival whose origins date back to the 17th century, returns from August 9 to 11, 2024 to celebrate music and acrobats. Organized by the town of Bischwiller and the Office des Sports, de la Culture et des Loisirs (OSCL), the festivities will take place in the town center and along the green belt. These days of totally free festivities will give way to this tradition and more: audiences young and old will be entertained in the style of European baroque festivals, recalling the Age of Enlightenment, while at the same time championing contemporary concerns through the poetry of new circus and street arts. Medieval market, artisans, discovery workshops and children?s entertainment; hut building, calligraphy, pony rides, inflatables, creative workshops, weapons handling, street theater, world music and brass bands are also on the program. To make this festival unforgettable, exceptional shows will be staged on Friday August 9 and Saturday August 10: Le Grand Mire" show by the Deus Ex Machina company in the Parc du Château. This magnificent aerial show for all ages features a subtle optical structure around a sphere: it's a story about our relationship to our image, reflected in mirrors and on screens. For further information, contact the city's culture and communications department on 03 88 53 71 54 or visit fete-des-fifres.alsace Due to the prefectoral decree banning fireworks, the fireworks display is cancelled.
